A trauma consultation group for therapists
Case consultation and support from colleagues
This online consultation group is for therapists who want greater confidence and depth in their trauma work. Together we explore complex cases through an attachment-focused lens, integrating EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, psychodynamic and somatic approaches, with practical interventions you can use in your next session.
It’s also a supportive space among colleagues. Trauma work can be heavy, and much of it happens alone in the room. The group is small and meets every two weeks, so you get to know each other’s work, and there’s room to talk about what the cases bring up for you as well as what to do next. EMDR training is not required, and therapists come from different modalities and different stages of practice.
How it runs:
When: every two weeks, Thursdays, 12:00 to 1:30 PM Eastern
Where: online, on Zoom, open to therapists in any state
Fee: $50 per session
Size: up to 6 participants, open group
EMDRIA hours: sessions don’t count toward EMDRIA consultation hours
EMDR training isn’t required. An interest in trauma work is.
Who it’s for
Therapists who want to work with trauma more confidently
Whatever your primary modality: psychodynamic, relational, CBT, somatic or EMDR. The group is for clinicians with complex trauma cases who want another set of eyes, and for those building a trauma caseload. Associates and early-career therapists are welcome.
If you’re EMDR-trained, it’s also a place to think about integrating parts work, somatic and relational approaches into your EMDR cases.
What I bring
I’m Samira Dewidar, a licensed clinical social worker in New York and California with 10 years in practice, and an EMDRIA Certified Therapist. My training includes Attachment-Focused EMDR, IFS and EMDR integration, and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment.
I also offer EMDR intensives, including as an adjunct to another therapist’s ongoing work. Details for referring clinicians are on my For Therapists page, and there’s more about me on my About page.
